Our restaurant, situated in the main house, is the ideal place for a quiet dinner or for entertaining friends.
All our food is freshly cooked to order, and we are fortunate to be located in Tipperary, a part of Ireland famed for its many excellent food producers – local produce always features on our menu.
We serve delicious Traditional Sunday Lunch for just €28 per Adult. Vegetarian dishes are always part of the restaurant menu and we are happy to cater for other dietary requirements. A special children’s menu is also available.
The Forge Bar
The Perfect Choice
The warm relaxing atmosphere of the Forge Bar, with a real coal fire blazing in the hearth, makes it an ideal spot to linger over an after-dinner drink. Decorated in traditional style, this is a friendly and convivial place, with a cheerful welcome for both locals and visitors.
Light meals and snacks are available at the bar throughout the day and there is outdoor seating on the deck.
Located next to the main house, this was once a working forge serving the Ballyglass Estate, keeping carriage horses, working horses, and pleasure horses shod and creating gates, farm implements, and other metal objects.
Where once these walls echoed with the sound of hammer on anvil, nowadays the sound you are most likely to hear is bow on fiddle – very popular music sessions, featuring talented local musicians, are held in the bar throughout the year.
